This Privacy Policy explains how SHINE INC (“Shine App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By using the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through:

  • The Shine App website

  • Mobile app(s)

  • In-app features and messaging

  • Booking and scheduling features

  • Customer support and contact forms

  • Provider/psychologist and white-label/B2B services

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, app stores, payment processors, or external services that may be linked to or integrated with the Platform (those are governed by their own privacy policies).


2. Important Notice About Wellness Services

Shine App provides digital mental wellness and self-support tools (for example, journaling, chatbot support, meditations, relaxation tools, and booking/messaging features). The Platform is not a substitute for emergency services, crisis response, or direct medical care.

If you share wellness-related information, we will treat it as personal information (and potentially sensitive personal information) and protect it in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.


3. Personal Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information from third parties (where applicable).

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

Depending on how you use the Platform, this may include:

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, username, password (stored securely/hashed), profile details

  • Contact and inquiry information: details you submit through website forms (e.g., name, address, phone, email, service interest, message)

  • Wellness and self-care information: journal entries, mood check-ins, goals, reflections, preferences, responses to self-assessments

  • Chatbot inputs: messages and prompts you send to an AI/chatbot feature

  • Messaging content: in-app messages (for example, user-to-provider or support communications)

  • Booking information: appointment requests, scheduling details, provider selection, notes you choose to share

  • Provider / Psychologist account information: clinic/practice details, professional profile information, account setup information

  • White-label/B2B information: organization contact details, branding preferences, business onboarding information

  • Customer support information: communications with support or admin team

3.2 Payment and Subscription Information

If you purchase a subscription or paid feature:

  • Payments may be processed by third-party providers (e.g., app stores or payment processors)

  • We may receive limited transaction details such as purchase status, plan type, renewal status, and billing identifiers

  • We do not store full payment card numbers unless explicitly stated and securely handled through a compliant processor

3.3 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Platform, we may collect:

  • Device type, operating system, app version

  • Browser type and language

  • IP address and approximate location (derived from IP)

  • Log data (timestamps, pages/screens viewed, interactions)

  • Crash reports and diagnostics

5.1 To Provide and Operate the Platform
